Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Ocasio-Ruiz (born 10 January 1993), known professionally as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He has been called the "King of modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. His debut studio album Afrodisiaco was released in November of 2020. Vice Versa was his second studio album was released in June 2021. It included the song that was the album's lead track "Todo de Ti". He has received two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz is a Latin Grammy Award winner, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 10, 1993. He was also raised in Canovanas as well as Carolina. His father Raul Ocasio Ruiz was a guitarist and his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz was his backing vocalist. They introduced him to the music of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. Alejandro and his father lived for many years in the United States. They mainly settled in New York City and Miami. Alejandro and Anuel, a other Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood pals. They both attended the same high school and shared classes. [9][10] Alejandro took part in school show as a youngster due to his love of dancing. After graduating from high school, Alejandro began his studies at the University of Puerto Rico. He played soccer from six to twenty-five. However, he quit playing because he wasn't performing the way he wanted to. When he was 20, He suffered an injury. In order to be scouted by the Premier Development League (PDL), he moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's music style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also likes dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard noted that it's helped "set him apart from a growing class of reggaetones who lean towards pop". Presley and Jackson had a profound influence on him in the beginning before being and then Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee and Chris Brown.
