Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor was born on the 16th of April 1996 in Miami Florida. It is daughter to Dennis Alan Taylor, a former executive in the banking industry and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist who is a half-Spanish female who is half English. Her father is an Argentine from Scottish as well as English origin. Her mother is of Spanish origin. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family lived at Buenos Aires until she was 6 years old. They then relocated to Victoria region of London. Taylor-Joy said that the move had been traumatic as she refused to take classes in English because she hoped to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the transferred from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she was a ballet student and performed in school plays. After 16 she left school in order to make a career out of acting. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. She was given a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her the opportunity to model.
